Thank you all for participating in this year's toy drive. Your generous toy donation will bring a sick child some joy over the holiday season.
What an amazing journey. Photographing Sadie's first year of life. Watching her grow and learn new things. Thank you so much Jessica and Craig for allowing me to witness this poetic experience.

This was such a fun photo shoot. Danielle and Kathleen were married a few months ago and we thought it would be fun to try something different. So we added just a little bit of water to the photo session and............
Danielle and Kathleen's Bridal Pictures and Trash the Dress!
This was such a wonderful family to work with. It was a last minute photo shoot, but wow what fun. I told Jennifer(Mom) I kind of forgot that we were working and we were just playing with the kids.
This is my 3rd photo session with Theresa and each time I think is better then the last. Theresa is an author and a life couch in Charlotte, NC. Check out her web site at www.theresamurphyinc.com
I want to say thank you to everyone who came out this weekend and supported my annual holiday toy drive. The toys benefit the children staying at the Levine's Children's Hospital. It is my hope that through your kind gifts we brought a smile to a sick child.

Savannah is such a cutie pie and a flirt. I always have so much fun when she is in my studio. I hope you enjoy watching her slide show as much as I enjoyed creating it.

This is my second time working with this growing family. The last session they had two children and now the have three. What impresses me about this family is how attuned they are to their cultural heritage. From the handmade African clothing to the musical instrument (that for the life of me I cannot remember the name of). I think that adding these elements to the images makes them personal and of heirloom quality. I hope you agree.
Enjoy!
This was such a fun senior session. I put everyone to work. I had mom, grandmother and little sister helping. When you look at the images where the leaves are falling, mom and little sister are actually dropping leaves on Nia's head.
Dominique and her family came out on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Not knowing if we would get soaking wet, we decided to take a chance and do most of our photo session out on the nearby greenway. We couldn't have asked for better. The weather was cool and the greenway was the ideal spot for this family session. Working with the fun group, just made my weekend.
Enjoy.

Here is one of my favorite families to work with. It's so neat that I get to watch the kids grow and explore this new world around them.
This video of our perfect daughter made me cry my eyes out! Neil, you did a great job capturing her beauty inside and out. I cannot wait to share these photos with all of our loved ones! They are going to be so impressed.

I really love photographing newborns. It is a lot of hard work and takes a lot of patients. But when I get feed back from parents like this, I know it is well worth it.
Hi Neil,

Three year old Sadie came in for a session on October 4, 2015 with her mom and dad. She slept through most of the session which is always a good sign. You will notice baby blocks in some of the images that have a very special meaning to Sadie's mom, Jessica. They spell out their last name and was given to them as a gift from Jessica's students. The blocks are currently sitting on a shelf in the new nursery. Though, Sadie is an only child she does have a "big brother" in the form of their family dog named Tucker. Tucker checks in on Sadie every time she cries. You can tell Tucker will be looking after Sadie for many years to come. Hopefully, I will get a chance to photographer Sadie and Tucker together.
Waylon and his family came to see me on Saturday, September 26, 2015. At first he was a little fussy, like all newborns. But once he got comfortable he was the ideal model. He slept through most of it. Born on September 7, 2015 Waylon weighs in at 7 lbs 12 oz. It was an awesome photo session. We were able to get most of the shots we had planned. I can't wait to watch Waylon grow throughout the year.
This was such a fun photo shoot. The theme was Alice in Wonderland. I think we captured the spirit of the story.
Wow! Those were the first thoughts running through Falicia and Michael's minds when they first saw Savannah. I first met with Felicia and Michael just a few weeks ago when I shot their maternity photos. From the start I could tell that they were a loving and supportive couple. Now they are a family. Savannah is their first child and they really did not know what to expect during their newborn photo session. While watching this slideshow with them, I was touched by the loving emotions Falicia expressed. I looked over and saw those tears of joy and had to run into the next room for the tissue box. I was too far away from Michael to see if he was teary eyed or not. I guess you will have to ask him. Thank you guys so much for allowing me to your photographer. I look forward to working with you and watching Savannah grow throughout the year.
Hi Neil,
Felicia just left you a review:

Hey Neil,
I just went through all of the pictures from the event you shot and I just want to let you know that I am so impressed. We work with many photographers every week and your work was some of the best I have seen. Thank you so much for being so thorough and really making sure you got the shots we were looking for and then some. I will definitely reach out if we ever need a photographer in Charlotte! I truly appriciate the attention you paid to your work, it makes a HUGE difference.
Thank you so much again,
Cassidy

This little guy was only 9 days old when he had his first portrait session. His father is an artist and his mother is a nurse. I wanted to reflect that in the photos. He slept through most of the session.
This was a fun session. It pays to work with someone as creative a Gina.
